About me
About

Hey there! I'm Ala, I first started taking product design seriously in 2021, beginning with my graduation project. It was the first time I had been able to bring an idea to life by turning a sketch into an interface, and I was hooked. After graduating, I took on small freelance projects to challenge myself and learn how design works in practice.
Later in 2022, I joined the SignLingo mobile app team for my first real 'inside a product' experience, collaborating closely with developers to shape flows for real users. Soon after, I co-founded Hexaflex Dev Agency, a small but ambitious studio where I developed user interfaces, UX processes, and a design culture from the ground up.
During this time, I also enrolled on the Google UX Design Professional Certificate program to consolidate my knowledge. This program provided me with structured practice in UX research, accessibility and iterative design skills that continue to influence my work today.
Now in my mid-20s, I have moved from creating my first wireframes to designing complete user experiences products, ranging from e-learning platforms for children to fintech products and AI-powered products such as HykoAI. My background in software engineering means that I am as comfortable using design tools as I am discussing feasibility with developers. I love being the bridge between business goals, user needs and technical reality.
For me, design isn’t just a career. It's the magic of making technology more human, trustworthy and meaningful. Every new project is another chance to achieve this a little better.
Career

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse array of clients and organizations, from renowned companies and agencies to innovative startups. I've helped them turn complex problems into seamless user-centric products. I believe great design happens where empathy meets clarity, and every detail tells a story.
